Red Carpet Makeup Style

The 2008 oscars showed us a new changing style for spring summer 2008. The girls went for a much fresher more modern look than in previous years which harped back to the 1920s and 1930s with dark red lips and a ’set’ quite heavy look. Instead this year we see stars like Jessica Alba, Cameron Diaz, Cate Blanchette wearing a fresh natural look - beautifully dewy and flawless skin, natural pinks  and fuschias on the lips , maybe a light gloss, and very light on the eyes.   I LOVE the looks we see this season. Makeup that doesnt look too made up. A naturally polished and beautiful look that works so well for everyone not just for the red carpet!!

To get a dewy look I love a foundation containing an Illuminator for example Chanel’s Pro Luniere, or Stila’s Illuminating foundation is lovely.

If you feel too shiny normally and don’t want to accentuate this, why not try a matte foundation with a blush that has a slight shimmer, Nars Orgasm now comes in a multiple creme stick as well as the usual powder blush. It is one of my all time favorites suits everyone and always makes you look healthy and glowy!
